A pump electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pumps and related equipment, including motors, controls, and related systems, in various settings like pump stations, wastewater facilities, or industrial settings. Their duties include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components, ensuring proper functioning of pumps and related equipment, and adhering to safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, circuitry, and components related to pumps and associated equipment.
Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in pumps, motors, control systems, and other related equipment.
Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the reliable operation of electrical systems.
Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and manufacturer guidelines.
Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, repair details, and material usage.
Operating and utilizing various tools and equipment, such as multimeters, meggers, and power tools, for diagnosis and repair.
